Maasai Dental Clinic

The Maasai Dental Clinic is located near the world-famous Maasai Mara National Game Park in Kenya, East Africa.

In addition to its original goal to provide quality dental care at no charge for the Maasai, the facility will also be used to facilitate deep, life-changing experiences for senior dental and dental hygiene students in the educational program of Loma Linda University.

Summary of requirements for volunteers:

  • Each volunteer is expected to provide a minimum of four full weeks Monday thru Friday of service. This means you must also factor in your travel time beyond those 4 full weeks
  • By Special Arrangement Only: If you would like to volunteer for only two weeks, it would be your responsibility to find someone to cover the remaining two weeks of the month. Please communicate with Dr. Kirk Hunt regarding this possibility (see contact info below)
  • Current NASDAD Membership – (membership status can be verified with the NASDAD office)
  • Volunteers for the Maasai Clinic are self-financed
  • Obtain Kenya Dental License – (application will be provided)
  • Voluntary Adjunct Faculty of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry – (application will be provided)
