YEAR AROUND MISSION MONEY
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

NASDAD has accepted the invitation of the Southern Union of Seventh-day Adventists to join them at their bi-annual Medical Dental Retreat in Gatlinburg, TN, October 16-19.

We are grateful for this opportunity to explore the feasibility of holding our annual meeting in conjunction with a related organization.

The CE program, Golf Tournament and Spiritual Emphasis for the week-end meeting are all planed by the Southern Union. Because of this our time for Mission Emphasis and related activities will be somewhat curtailed; therefore we will be departing from our traditional program schedule.

The mission committee will meet on Thursday afternoon and will prepare a written report to be distributed to NASDAD members and other dentists in attendance. As of this writing, the Mission Report is planned for the Saturday evening banquet.

The YAMM and Mitchell Fund offerings will be taken during the banquet. If you can’t attend the convention, you can still support by contacting the NASDAD office and we'll tell you how you can support.

Here are a few of the dozens of projects that YAMM was able to support because of your generous donations!!!

-Dental equipment and supplies were purchased and/or shipped to Nairobi, Kenya; Gweru, Zimbabwe; Georgetown, Guyana; Kinshasa, DR Congo, and Kigali, Rwanda

-2 Senior dental students were able to do overseas mission electives

-1 Mission dentist was able participate in the 6-month upgrade training program

The Mitchell Fund is used to help outfit new missionaries by purchasing specific supplies and equipment for the clinic that would be helpful in an overseas practice or personnel needs for the family to help in the transition.

Barbara and I are very much looking forward to meeting many of you in this beautiful place at the time of year when Nature is in full splendor of the Fall Colors! Please make your plans right away to join us in Gatlinburg.

Bill Heisler
Executive Director
